Dubbel Dutch makes just the kind of mess we like over here. Big weird track lists that we can't file under anything. Austin to Africa and everything in the middle, the familiar becoming unfamiliar. Crafted with the touch of tone control records by someone who cares, thinking about composition as much as blurring the lines of House music. I think dancing too. A soundtrack for invisible cities, I'm definitely going to be using this one for headphones and train rides.

Blastto - Your Gonna Miss Me Baltimore House Remix (from the internet 2009?)

Roky Erickson ran away from the nursing home and ended up at Club Choices on the west side of Baltimore where he was warmly welcomed with a permanent DJ residency. After a few weeks he was kicked out for freaking everyone out with his prolonged TV static staring and frequent acid flashbacks. Here are the results.

13th Floor Elevators - May The Circle Remain Unbroken(from Bull of The Woods 1968)

Obviously one of the most haunting covers ever recorded, The Elevators sans Roky let this Carter Family joint drift into oblivion by way of delay. Happens to also be the final song on their final album, being one of the better ways for a band to die off. My only complaint is that its not atleast 20 minutes long. Compairsons to Dadamah's "High Tension House" are proof of a look into what was to come circa 1989 during the summer of love.
